DNPT presents the TEC controller: Modular, precise and powerful – the next generation of temperature management
We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest innovation: the DNPT TEC controller, a response to the growing demands for precision, performance and connectivity in thermoelectric systems. Based on our decades of expertise and customer feedback, this controller offers unprecedented flexibility for a wide range of applications where the highest accuracy, stability and efficient heat transfer are required.
Our incentive: thermal excellence in every application
Our TEC controllers benefit from almost 70 years of know-how of Dr. Neumann Peltier-Technik GmbH in the thermoelectric sector. They are not only extremely accurate and highly efficient, but also meet the requirements of modern and networked systems across all thermoelectric temperature control applications.
The heart of the system: the PWR-CTRL system
At the heart of the DNPT TEC controller are the actual TEC controllers: our PWR-CTRL units. This centerpiece is available in various power levels (XS, M and L from 150 to 1,500 watts Peltier output power) and offers:
- Unsurpassed temperature stability: Based on advanced control algorithms, the PWR-CTRL system realizes a temperature stability and precision of up to 0.01 K – ideal for critical applications in medical technology, analytics and precision manufacturing.
- Consistent power output: An optimized output current with a residual ripple of less than 1 % guarantees maximum service life and efficiency of your Peltier elements.
- High configurability: Integrated GPIOs allow versatile control of both the controller itself and its peripherals. This opens up a wide range of customization options to meet specific requirements.
- Precise measurements: A 24-bit dual ADC enables highly accurate temperature measurements via Pt100 or Pt1000 sensors, so you are always in control of your thermal processes.
- Seamless peripheral integration: PWR-CTRL TEC controllers already have integrated drivers for peripheral integration: fans, pumps or level sensors, for example, can be integrated directly and without additional effort.
Our priority: Full control over your application.
Our TEC controllers feature active and seamless monitoring, which gives you full control over your temperature control application. The integrated auto-tuning enables control that is ideally tailored to your application, without manual and time-consuming fine-tuning.
Several NTC temperature sensors monitor temperatures at different positions in your system, giving you a complete overview of the current system status. Two high-resolution temperature sensors (choice of PT100 or PT1000 in 2 or 4-wire circuit) precisely reflect the control variable to be tempered – you choose which of the sensors is to be controlled and can place them in the position that is most profitable for your application.
Also for critical processes: Absolute security and fallback mechanisms
Even perfectly designed systems can be subject to malfunctions. We have integrated a multi-level warning system that can be configured for your application so that these can be checked quickly:
All critical functions of the temperature control and monitoring itself as well as all peripheral connections can be provided with warning and safety shut-off levels.
This allows you to maintain an overview even in critical situations and counter errors in the setup or external disruptions as quickly as possible without risking long downtimes.
Networking and communication: COMM-PRO for intelligent systems
Peltier-side applications are complex and often networked. TEC controllers often provide the basis for precise temperature control, but do not enable user-friendly and seamless system integration.

The COMM-PRO communication module takes the DNPT TEC controller to a new level and enables integration into modern, networked environments:
- Remote control: The integrated web server and REST API allow users to control and monitor the system remotely. This is particularly advantageous in distributed environments or for systems that are difficult to access.
- Multi-node management: A central function of the COMM-PRO module is the ability to monitor and control up to 16 interconnected nodes. This enables efficient management of complex thermoelectric systems, for example in the temperature control of medical reactors.
- Data logging: The real-time clock and file system enable seamless 24/7 data logging with a capacity of over a year. This ensures comprehensive analysis and documentation of the thermal processes.
- Touch display: The COMM-PRO module enables the connection of a 2.83-inch touch display with which up to 2 nodes can be controlled directly – ideal for use in laboratory environments or in field service.
For applications that only require a reduced communication capability or no HMI, our PWR-CTRL TEC controllers can alternatively be combined with specialized, compact and cost-optimized communication modules. Serial protocols such as RS232, RS485 or RS422 are available as standard.
